Red Velvet Cake

Funny story.

My cousin's birthday came along. I brought this cake to the birthday celebration. My Nana (the best cook in the world) says, "This cake tastes just like my Red Velvet Cake". I laughed so hard. I let Nana know that I was totally using her recipe for Red Velvet Cake.
Everyone around the table got a good giggle.

That being said....this is a tried and true, three generations of Garb women Red Velvet cake. Nana passed along nothing but the best. There will be no crumbs.

You can pick your frosting. Some folks like a cream cheese situation, others prefer ermine, and still yet others buttercream. Your call, but if I am choosing, its the fluffy vanilla buttercream.

Note: If you pick cream cheese icing, the bottom border will be a little different as cream cheese does not pipe like buttercream :)
